Beauty of Cali
Traveling is the most incredible experience. When I photograph, I explore the overlocked and engage more deeply with where I am in space and time. At each location, I spend time taking in the scene, I notice the natural light, the colors, and the environment before I finally press the button.
Traveling around California gives me good memories, helps me see things from different perspectives, and capture unique moments that I want to remember forever and share with others.
Curious
When I photograph people, I work to make them look perfect. I direct them carefully and adjust my lights to dramatically highlight the lines of the body, creating something better than reality. I began to wonder what would happen if I combined these technically precise images with the more freeform expression of ink painting. How does adapting a perfect art form to the photograph create a different experience for the observer?
